Anthony Weiner...resigns post! The "package" wrapper was his un-doing!

A man's tie says it all subliminally!

Yesterday afternoon, Anthony Weiner stood at the podium at a noisy press conference (where angry upstarts in the unruly gallery below the floodlights shouted out obscenities at the beleaugered politician caught with his pants down) and informed frenzied members of the press that he was resigning his post as Congressman for the 9th District of New York.

A cheer when up in the crowd!

At this juncture, though, a sad "sick" chapter of Weiner's professional and personal life came to a sorry close on a sour note.

In spite of that moment of closure, folks are still shaking their heads in total disbelief, today.

Did the high-profile Government official actually thinkFacebook) without getting his dick caught in the wringer?

As one pundit astutely notely:

"Weiner had a death wish, obviously."

Of course, there were other glaring missteps which hastened his shocking demise.

Fashionistas have been babbling about the obvious for days!

For example, in one of the e-mails that was offered up at a News Conference to establish evidence of Weiner's wrongdoing, it was pointed out that the horndog actually lamented to one gal pal that his "package" wasn't getting the respect that it deserved.

Well, if that was the case, it was Weiner's own fault from the very get-go!

I dare say.

After all, those dreary grey boxers Weiner donned for his first incident of sexual hijinks were - not only an  unsightly eyesore in respect to style - but also sadly lacking in the tightie-whities erotica department as well (especially when it comes to the oh-so-touchy art of sexual foreplay).

For starters, any underwear that "flattens out" the "junk" - or rides-up unflatteringly at the crotch is a definite no-no.

In a nutshell?

Weiner should have modelled a few sexy underthings first in front of a full-length mirror (rehearsed a few sexy poses, too) before snapping and zipping off those pedestrian publicity stills which left a lot to be desired in respect to arousal potential.

With that in mind, here's a selection of sexy underthings sure to "blow" their load next, time!

Let me know how 'ya make out Anthony, eh?

Anthony Weiner...Dave Letterman "queer" for scandal-ridden politician? Shaved pecs a turn-on!

Studly Dave after-hours at CBS!

Though political pundits (and critics from across the aisle in Congress) have been poking fun at scandal-ridden Anthony Weiner's crotch shots surfacing on social hubs around the Internet, Dave Letterman has been inclined to flatter the beleaguered man-of-the-hour who got caught with his pants down.

"I've seen the naked photos," quipped toothy Dave to his rapt audience the other evening.

"Weiner has nothing to be ashamed about," the popular talk-show host beamed with admiration, as the packed house roared back in response.

Obviously, the comic has been scrutinizing the stills up-close-and-personal for some inexplicable reason.

I expect - that like any hot-blooded male - Letterman was just checking the "dude's" tool out (like guys tend to do at the urinal in the mens room) to get a sense of how he blessed he is compared to the rest of the male species.

After all, every dude hankers to know where he - um - measures up when it comes to his "junk".

But, when Letterman persisted with the dialogue last night, it begged a question.

Is Dave queer for Weiner's man tool?

Mark Zuckerkberg...$7 million-dollar home reminiscent of Osama bin Laden's compound?

Is it just me, or is Mark Zuckerberg's spanking new mansion somewhat reminiscent of slain Osama bin Laden's luxury digs in Pakistan?

With the exception of the pool, of course!

Paddling about a pool in a flowing robe makes the recreational leisure past-time tough - even for an expert swimmer - after all.

The upscale property in Palo Alto has that certain shabby secluded aura about it that reminds me of the sprawling compound where the former Al Qaeda leader was serviced by his five accommodating wives.

Do you suppose Mark has a few bottles of virility boosters around the house, too, or are the big buck dividends that flow daily into the coffers enough to trigger an adrenalin rush and the libido of the single twenty-six-year old?

Valued at $13.5 billion, and now a recongized-on-sight celebrity made famous by the Oscar-winning film The Social Network, Zuckerberg is quite the catch.

Curiously, that!

Although the flick explored a myriad of aspects of the Facebook CEO's life, there wasn't even a hint or two about his sexual yearnings or his demanding tastes between-the-sheets.

Does the young stud like it missionary-style, for instance?

On the other hand, Doggie-style might be up his alley, too.

Who knows!

The restored upscale home boasts 5,617 square feet and rests on a 17,100 square-foot plot.

The investment property include five bedrooms, five and a half baths, a banquet-size dining room, a music alcove and glassed-in porch.

The backyard is a bachelor's virtual (!) playground, natch, and features a saltwater pool, a spa, an outdoor gazebo with a wood-burning fireplace, and a carport.

Like Osama's infamous pad, the retreat is shielded from nosy neighbors and lookie loo's with a high wall.

Pretty Citrus trees line the edge of the Zuckerberg estate, too.

The tony neighborhood - known as Crescent Park - is comprised mainly of median single-family homes which sell for an average of $1.9 million.

Public records have established that the deal closed in mid-March.

And, aht the hush-hush sale, was conducted through a third party LLC.

Obviously, if those Winklevoss twins win a court judgment eventually, it will be tough placing a lien on the Zuckerberg Castle.

Smart dude!

Do you suppose he paid cash-on-the-barrel or in Facebook overvalued stock?

Osama a hunted fugitive for the past decade!

Barack Obama...jets into San Francisco! Horns of dilemma!

Once again, President Obama is jetting into the picturesque bay area to lock "horns" with the captains of Industry on the West Coast.

Actually, on the heels of a controversy over the President's reluctance to engage in a little show-and-tell by coughing up his elusive long-form birth certificate - stirred up by irascible White House hopeful Donald Trump - Obama has reiterated once again for the record that he doesn't have any horns!

"And, I became a man in Chicago," he quipped at the podium last week on the heels of the "birthing" issue which was recently resurrected - ironically - during the sacred Easter holiday season.

However, Governor Brewer nixed all that when she got cold feet and vetoed a bill to force the President's claw - er - hand.

Did Brewer back down for political reasons (with an eye to the future) or because she just doesn't have the balls anymore to fight with the big boys on the hill in Washington?

Meanwhile, the President will rub elbows with enterprising Facebook owner - Mark Zuckerberg  - and other technology leaders shortly after he touches down on the tarmac.

The spirited talks - mostly behind-closed-doors - are expected to put the spotlight on Government investments in research and development, education, and clean energy," according to Barack's handlers.

The president is slated to arrive Thursday evening, then fly out of San Francisco International Airport on Friday morning, on a precise no-nonesense time-table.

Will Barack dawdle a moment-or-two at SFO to take a gander at dazzling spanking-new Terminal 2, which was recently transformed into a jet-setter's hop-over paradise?

By the way, the President has invited fascinated voters to get involved virtually - on the Internet this intriguing time-around.

Barack is now utilizing the potent power of the world-wide-web (and its ubiquitous presence) to rustle up - a younger, hipper, more technologically-advanced demographic - which will undoubtedly help him land the election in 2012.

While the White House insists that the President is only trying to reach out to Americans who would not generally turn to traditional media sources for information, Facebook has been exploiting the situation in a sly bold-faced effort to play a major role in President Obama's political campaign next year.

It's good for business, after all.

The heck with the country, eh?

Do you suppose the hornless one owns stock in the popular social hub?

Only the Winklevoss twins - and Mark Zuckerberg - know for sure.

Big Brother gets technologically with-it!

Facebook...Winklevoss twins lose appeal! Porn-loving 9th Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski rebuffs litigants!

The Social Network– an Oscar-winning flick - chronicled the launch of Facebook and the tawdry rags-to-riches tale about its founder and the legal wrangling that erupted in the courts thereafter on the heels of accusations that the cocky start-up maestro - Mark Zuckerberg - stole the original idea out-from-under former business partners Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss.

In my own review of the box-office hit, I underscored my sentiments.

The “idea” is the thing.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/10/social-networkfacebook-nerd-revenge.html

In the final analysis, a person who invented the “light bulb” is the genius, not the individual who imagined one in the shade of blue (to use an analogy).

In spite of that glaring reality, Zuckerberg vigorously argued to all within earshot - that without his expertise the Winklevoss pipe dream would never have gotten off-the-ground – let alone been transformed into a viable marketable enterprise on the competitive world-wide-web.

Like it or not, one glaring fact remains.

The Harvard “boys” - to the manor born with silver spoons in their mouth – were the true visionaries who hatched up the original concept (not Zuckerberg).

Undoubtedly - that’s why the anti-social (!) CEO relented - and agreed to give the two sticks-in-the-muds their due.

Consequently, an out-of-court settlement was proffered up for big bucks in favor of the dynamic duo.

End of story, right?

Not!

Shortly after Facebook took off on the Internet– and met with phenomenal success – the Winklevoss litigants did an about-face.

On the grounds that the stock was grossly overvalued when the settlement was - signed, sealed, and delivered - the poor sports elected to pursue the litigation with renewed vigor (no doubt emboldened by the “Social Network” movie script which appeared to validate their rip-off claims) with the ultimate aim of cashing-in for a bigger pay-off.

Yesterday, the grumblings of a disreputable Judge in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal handed down a verdict - that was not only a stunner – but a  less than Judicial-sounding one!

“Tough Luck,” Chief bench warmer Alex Kozinski snapped without an ounce of compassion.

“The Winklevosses are sophisticated parties who were locked in a contentious struggle over ownership rights in one of the world’s fastest-growing companies,” he quipped in the court’s 3-0 ruling.

In part, the decision rested on evidence in the lower-court record which Kozinski stressed was legally-binding.

The controversial Judge was referring to a statement in the agreement that barred inclusion of any evidence gleened during a mediation session – including, but not limited to - misrepresentations about the value of the company stock.

“At some point litigation must come to an end,” Kozinski concluded.

This, from a Judge with dubious standing in the community-at-large - in legal circles, too - a “black sheep” who has demonstrated a nasty disregard for the rules (particularly when it pertains to his own inappropriate conduct).

California voters, lawyers, and Court Officials may recall that Judge (I use the term very loosely) Kozinski has been criticized in the past for frequenting web sites that exalt (and condone) sleazy pornography and for “downloading” disturbing erotic images to his laptop.

In addition, Kozinski has thumbed his nose at critics in the past - who lamented on the heels of the scandal - that it was highly improper (disgusting?) for a sitting Judge to flaunt his sexual perversions so publicly.

Meanwhile, in the other camp, the Winklevoss attorney has cried foul over the ruling.

According to Jerome Falk, Kozinski’s opinion raises “extremely significant questions of Federal Law” that deserve further legal scrutiny.

For good reason, a full review by the 9th Circuit may be on the horizon.

Dig a little deeper, Mr. Falk.

There may be a few greased palms involved, especially where the California court system is involved!

Anti-Social Social hub founder?

Olivia Somerlyn...Pop Singer a fresh-faced beauty! San Francisco talent!

16 year old Olivia Somerlyn has been causing a buzz on the Internet with a couple of her singles.

I expect that one day, as Olivia rises to the pinnacle of success in the music industry, she'll  be a much-sought-after Pop Icon influencing up-and-coming talent around the country, too.

You go, girl!

Ms. Somerlyn is attending high school - while residing in the picturesque San Francisco Bay area - balancing music and homework.

One of my contacts at a record company in Eagle Rock turned me on to Olivia's fresh look pictured above!

The catchy tunes she sings from the heart are nothing to sniff at, either!

"I'm inspired by the creative process of songwriting, and I'm passionate about telling stories through music, so I'll always make the time," cooed the young pop beauty.

In addition to composing her own music, the multi-talented teen also plays the guitar and piano with great ease.

Like any burgeoning visionary artist, there have been a handful of cool influences in the creative arena that have influenced her style.

"I'm mostly inspired by personal experiences and small pieces of sounds I come across from many different artists rather than the work of a few specific artists," she confided recently in the glare of the spotlight.

In particular, perky Olivia thrives on the passionate love stories of  Taylor Swift, the musicianship of Nick Jonas, and the individuality of Lady Gaga.

"There are so many amazing young artists that I'm influenced by in all different ways," she gushes, almost as an afterthought.

With that in mind, check out three of her singles:

Stylish, too!

Facebook...sex addict profile entry mysteriously appears! Trojan intruder!

Provided by Charlie Sheen archives!

Today, I was taken aback when I spied a curious entry on my profile at FACEBOOK.

For some inexplicable reason, there was a post - which I never published personally - which referred to myself as a sex addict.

Ha!

Nothing could be further from the truth!

Sure, I pine for wet sloppy kisses, but with a steady - and not down a back-alley - somewhere!

Obviously - some Trojan intruder (how sexual can you get?) crept in a back door at FACEBOOK (!) - and posted the offending label without my knowledge or permission.

Whoa Nellie!

I know I am sexy, sensual - and popular - but this one takes the cake.

Keep an eye-out on your own profile to ensure false, misleading, or erroneous information doesn't pop up on your homepage unexpectedly, too!

President Obama...to meet with techies in San Francisco!

President Obama will be jetting into the Bay Area today to meet with techie execs in San Francisco.

Obama is expected to reveal his plans for his 3.7 Trillion-dollar budget.

Handlers have hinted that Obama's discussions will focus on the economy and job creation.

Obama has taken the position the his financial aid package - which includes funding for education and research - will help the U.S. remain competitive in the world marketplace if implemented.

Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), among others, is slated to sit in on the President's meeting which is a closed-door affair not open to the press.

I trust the Prez snatched up an overcoat and umbrella before he embarked on Air Force one since he'll have to brave torrential rains that have descended on San Francisco today.

Unless the Secret Service intend to shield him from unpredictable weather conditions, too.

Later!

The Oscars.."The King's Speech" overkill upsets race?

As the countdown for the upcoming Oscar celebrations wind to a close, slick promos for "The King's Speech" have revved up to a fever pitch.

Uh-huh!

Blockbuster ads have sputtered to life in rich media all over the blogosphere - and on high-brow show-biz terrain exclusive to the mainstream all across the country - as studio brass rubs their hands with glee over the truckload of nods which include Best Director, Best Actor, Best Film, and-so-forth-and-so-on.

In addition, the brokers behind-the-scenes have seen fit to trot out the stars of the flick in a media blitz, in a bold-faced effort to rustle up sales at the box office.

And, for Academy consideration, of course!

Strike while the iron is hot.

Go figure!

But, one has to wonder amidst all the hoopla, if the dizzying overkill may prove fatal at the glitzy Kodak Theatre in Hollywood come Oscar Night?

Only the "Social Network" knows for sure, folks!

Best Actor Noms

Julian Ayrs 5 Top Picks...Best Screenwriter! Oscar Race 2010!

If it isn't in the script, it probably won't end up on the silver screen.

And, even if it is - not matter how eloquently or succinctly expressed on the page - it might not either.

Of course, I am referring  to the written word!

If an actor or a director attempts to rewrite 'em - on the set, in their trailer, in the toilet room, wherever  - a lament from the author will undoubtedly ring out crystal clear from the edge of the great abyss - and harshly fall on all ears within earshot.

"Over my dead body!"

Even so, the almighty word is not always written in stone, once the artful turn-of-a-phrase has been rustled up out-of-the-blue.

I adhere to the old addage that words have power.

Words have the ability to - uplift, instill fear, inspire, cause hurt - you name it.

A wordsmith - with the magical gift to touch or utter up thoughts that resonate to the very core of a sentient being - is a rare and wonderful individual.

In the realm of screenwriting, in particular.

In the hands of a lesser talent - dialogue may end up stilted, a plot line inplausible, the ability to move one greatly lacking in emotion or righteous joy- you betcha!

As a former Literature Agent (who represented screenwriters) I can wholeheartedly attest to that fact!

With that in mind, I offer up my five (5) Top Picks for Screenplay for a feature film (Oscar Race 2010).

Here are the nominees not in any particular order:

Aaron Sorkin
The Social Network

David Seidler
The King's Speech

Joel & Ethan Cohen
True Grit

Michael Arndt
Toy Story

Billy Ivory
Made in Dagenham

Roseanne Barr...exits Facebook It's all about me!

A dishy - silver-haired Roseanne Barr - has been turning up at book-signing gigs to affix her familiar "Joan Henry" to a spanking bullsh** tome on sale on bookshelves this week at top retailers around the country.

The mature look - some say a tad reminiscent of the one Diane Keaton sports like a comfortable old sensible shoe - suits the grand old dame of stand-up and sitcom comedy to a "t".

For the most part, Ms. Barr appears to be at peace with herself and the world.

Not with Facebook, however!

The racy comedienne - undisputed Queen of the snappy comeback - found the high-profile social hub a frustrating annoying experience.

"I thought I would join Facebook to keep my fans updated. But, the members on the site are only keen on chatting about themselves. They don't want to hear about me or what I have to say," she laughed cynically i so many words to a TV host during the course of an off-the-wall interview yesterday.

'Ya don't say!

Wasn't the much-ballyhooed tattooed lady hip to that fact (long before she logged on to become a member of the self-serving site) that the concept of  "Me, Myself, and I" reigns supreme?

The founders didn''t come up with the name - Facebook - for no good reason.

Indeed!

A web sight that focuses on "face" values is a losing proposition for intelligent sentient beings seeking like-minded souls (even a meaningful dialogue) in the overall scheme of things.

Mensa is more up your alley, Roseanne!

See 'ya at their next meeting, eh?

You've got to have friends...Jack Black takes over MySpace!

King of MySpace?

It's been uncanny!

For several weeks - whenever I signed in to my Facebook page - right off-the-bat I couldn't help but notice that the Dalai Lama (Buddhist Spiritual leader) - just posted to the Internet seconds earlier!

Then, the curious phenomenon started to unfold in respect to Ryan Seacrest, too.

The contributions of the winsome twosome are quite different in substance, however.

For instance, whenever his "Holiness" posts a message, it tends to be of a philosophical nature, so I tend to mull over the nuggets of wisdom before heading out for the day to undertake chores and what-have-you.

Ryan Seacrest - on the other hand - tends to utter up short sweet ditties about the curiousities of "Yogurt" or the tantalizing aroma of catering-truck fast-foods that assail his sensitive nostrils as he speeds onto the lot over at E News!

Like myself, Ryan tends to be an observer, who takes note of trends and the quirks that move - and ultimately inspire - the human animal during the course of the routine work day (and the party-hearty sizzling' hot nights that rev up under an intense golden orb setting sun on the West Coast shores).

Just the other day, I was quite surprised (and flattered) to receive a friend request from comic Jack Black.

Although I am fond of his wild antics - on-camera-and-off - I have yet to review one of his flicks.

But, he's on my radar now, you betcha!

Shortly after I shuffled Mr. Black to the top of my "friends" list on MySpace, the multi-talented dude fired off a post which caused me to ceremoniously whoop-and-holler a tad.

Jack announced that he's taking over MySpace.

Well, the site could do with a zany character at the helm, if only to spice things up a tad!

After promoting Eminem's record these past few months at The Tattler, the intriguing rapper has come on board as a friend, too.

Hmmm!

Wonder what the reclusive Pop Icon's really like when you get him along in a corner somewhere out of the glare of the spotlight?

Just a normal dude, I expect.

Bottom line, as Bette Midler would say:

"You've got to have friends"

Amen, baby!

You've got to have friends!
