THE X FACTOR...Virtual auditions! Simon Cowell scours for Talent!

If you're a performer, who was unable to attend open call auditions for  - X FACTOR - Simon Cowell is reaching out "virtually".

For example, X FACTOR  producers have whipped up a handful of state-of-the art audition booths, that will be installed at shopping malls in out-of-the-way communities, to facilitate auditions for a posse of singers chomping-at-the-bit to be "discovered".

At stake?

A $5 million-dollar recording contract!

"We're extending auditions to six more cities," beamed the host of the upcoming entertainment show - styled after American Idol - on Fox TV.

Potential contestants who reside in neighborhoods around the country near - Anchorage, Denver, Honolulu, Kansas City, Phoenix, and  Nashville - just lucked out!

"America has the best talent in the world and we're looking for the best of the best. We believe the next global superstar is out there waiting to be discovered," a spokesperson at Fox beamed.

"We think MyStudio is a brilliant way to audition for those people who haven't been able to make it to the open calls," Cowell underscored at a press conference in recent days.

Throughout April - anyone 12 years of age or older (solo artists  & vocal groups) - can use the nifty booths to record their auditions.

Break a leg, eh?

Simon muses over contestant!

ALL TIME LOW...Pop Band appears @ Warfield! San Francisco! April 16th!

Although a posse of music-lovers escaped town this weekend to - party-hearty, catch a few rays (God Willing), and revel in the eclectic sounds of a handful of high-profile popular bands slated to take the stage at Coachella Music & Arts Festival - a gang of die-hard "All time Low" fans trotted down to the Warfield to snatch up tickets for a live! concert tonight at the legendary venue.

Tourists were forced to maneuver their way through a gang of band enthusiastics camped out on Market Street in a line that snaked haphazardly down the street as far as the eye could see.

"All Time Low" is a band that hails from Baltimore which consists of vocalist/rhythm guitarist Alexander Gaskarth, lead guitiarist/back-up vocalist Jack Barakat, bassist Zachary Merrick, and drummer Rian Dawson.

In high school, the ambitious pop talents started out humbly enough, covering for pop punk bands such as ever-popular Blink-183.

In a short meteoric rise, "All Time Low" suddenly found themselves signing a record deal with enterprising "Emerald Moon Records".

"The Party Scene", their 1st studio album, was released in 2005.

A deal with "Hopeless Records" triggered a debut album which featured two catchy tunes for their EP which was titled "Put Up or Shut Up."

The EP landed on Top Heatseekers charts as a result.

"So Wrong, It's Right" was their most commercially successful recording which peaked at number 62 on the Billboard 200 (and number 6 on the Independent Albums chart.)

"Dear Maria, Count Me In" - a nifty tune about a stripper from their hometown - took off and was singled out at number 86 on the Pop 100 (to later achieve gold status in spite of the fact they did not nab any radio play).

The hotties were first featured on MTV - then followed up that appearance with a high-profile debut on the Jimmy Kimmel show broadcast out of Hollywood.

Understandably, there has been no looking back!

Stylish hip band popular!

Olivia Somerlyn...Pop Singer a fresh-faced beauty! San Francisco talent!

16 year old Olivia Somerlyn has been causing a buzz on the Internet with a couple of her singles.

I expect that one day, as Olivia rises to the pinnacle of success in the music industry, she'll  be a much-sought-after Pop Icon influencing up-and-coming talent around the country, too.

You go, girl!

Ms. Somerlyn is attending high school - while residing in the picturesque San Francisco Bay area - balancing music and homework.

One of my contacts at a record company in Eagle Rock turned me on to Olivia's fresh look pictured above!

The catchy tunes she sings from the heart are nothing to sniff at, either!

"I'm inspired by the creative process of songwriting, and I'm passionate about telling stories through music, so I'll always make the time," cooed the young pop beauty.

In addition to composing her own music, the multi-talented teen also plays the guitar and piano with great ease.

Like any burgeoning visionary artist, there have been a handful of cool influences in the creative arena that have influenced her style.

"I'm mostly inspired by personal experiences and small pieces of sounds I come across from many different artists rather than the work of a few specific artists," she confided recently in the glare of the spotlight.

In particular, perky Olivia thrives on the passionate love stories of  Taylor Swift, the musicianship of Nick Jonas, and the individuality of Lady Gaga.

"There are so many amazing young artists that I'm influenced by in all different ways," she gushes, almost as an afterthought.

With that in mind, check out three of her singles:

*Only in the Movies
*Not your Girl

Stylish, too!

Justin Bieber...cyber attacks on Pop Star! Fan fanatics!

Justin has his own little Monsters!

Cyber attack on the competition!

Josh Groban has a posse of 'em.

And, now - it appears from a flurry of cyber attacks last night on the Internet - that the "Bieb" has a gang of those die-hards, too!

Uh-huh!

On the heels of a loss to rising young Pop Star (Esperanza Spalding) in a much-coveted Grammy Award category broadcast live last eve - wacko dedicated Bieber "fans" swarmed the pervasive World-Wide-Web - and took matters into their own dainty highly-polished hands!

Within minutes of scooping up the prize, authorities - and webmasters, too - reported that a glut of irate "Bieber" babes launched a nasty assault on Esperanza's Official web site to utter up their disdain.

There outta be a law, right?

Needless to say - the "Bieb" was most apologetic - in the aftermath!

In fact, in the glitzy environs back-stage a few moments earlier, Justin was inclined to be a good sport about it all.

Golly!

The polite Pop Icon (from Stratford-on-Avon) even gushed congratulations to the talented young musical beauty who scooped up the Golden Trophy many thought was the "Bieb's" by birthright!

Hell hath no fury like a Bieber fan scorned, eh?

New at 11!
