Mandarin Oriental...tea lounge Vegas best-kept secret! Soothing environs to contemplate life!

One of the best-kept secrets in Las Vegas is the soothing Tea Lounge situated next to the Sky Lobby in the Mandarin Oriental on the 23rd floor of the exquisite luxury Hotel.

Once the elevator doors are whisked open, guests are knocked-out by a breathtaking panoramic view of the exotic desert oasis resort, for starters.

The chic upscale nook is not only a cozy environ - but the perfect respite from the throbbing frenzied heartbeat of the glitzy strip below - for sure.

According to my sources, the aesthetic tea room has become a magnet for a handful of guests who prefer to multi-task on their laptops, while they sip on exotic blends of tea, savor a tasty dessert, and meditate on the glorious skyline beyond the ever-popular spanking-new City Center.

One pet peeve, however!

Although management has posted an over-sized menu at the front entrance, the staff  have failed to itemize the charges, for some inexplicable reason.

Perhaps an old axiom rings true.

If you have to ask the cost, maybe you can't afford it?

Or, are the charges so exorbitant, that the prices have been held back to prevent potential customers from being scared off before electing to be seated comfortably inside?

In my estimation, there is a practical (deceitful?) reason behind it.

Once a person is settled in for their afternoon treat, it is doubtful they'll exit in a huff, if the bill-of-fare is too expensive.

Who wants to embarrass themselves in front of a posse of prying guests (or be considered cheap) after all?

Enjoy!

A bather like myself pines for a tub like this to relax in!

The Shaman says...Dream Catcher casts out evil spirits! Sleep in heavenly peace!

In some cultures, a Shaman is either a "witch doctor" or a prophet (or both).

Essentially a "healer", he (or she) is often chosen by a spirit guide (or given a sign) -and thereafter - is initiated into the realms of the Shamans to perform their miracles.

During a trance state - often induced by way of the beating of the ceremonial drum and sacred chanting - the witch doctor is guided by the spirits.

Usually, the Shaman works on behalf of a member of the tribe, and attempts to effect a healing.

For those who are troubled by disturbing dreams - especially in these uncertain economic times - the Shaman recommends that the individual craft (or purchase) a Dream Catcher to ward off negative influences.

According to Plains Indian Chiefs, a dream catcher should be hung by the window or at the head of the subject's bed.

Bad dreams that float from evil sources get caught in the web at the center of the dream catcher which is also decorated with feathers, lucky beads, and powerful symbols deep-rooted in the ancient culture.

The good dreams work their way through an opening at the center of the intricate mystical web, rest on the feather like a dew drop, then evaporate to become one with the Great Spirit in the morning sun.

Plenty of that in the Desert Oasis, eh?

The prayer beads on the symbolic Dream Catcher trap all the evil nightmares that are left on the web, and thereafter, burn 'em up.

Sweet Dreams!

Britney Spears...to sashay into Nikki Beach Par-tay! "Circus Girl" the toast of Vegas!

The last time I spied Britney Spears poolside in the desert oasis was a couple of years ago when I attended the local film festival - CineVegas - at a handful of venues around town.

I was interviewing celebs on the red carpet when I happened to strike up a rapport with a couple of the local paparazzi who plied me with juicy inside tidbits about Ms. Spears.

Uh-huh!

Scandal-ridden Brit was suffering from the blues when she jetted in to town for a respite from it all that week.

"Britney is hunkered down in a Condo upstairs," one of the professional snoops confided in me.

"She's a good friend of the Hotel owner, George Maloof," he underscored, as an afterthought.

I was quite familiar with the scuttlebutt.

Ms. Spear's musical persona was in the dumper and rumors abounded that Maloof was going to sign her to a contract with the specific aim of raising up her wobbling career like a Phoenix from the ashes.

The two outgoing down-to-earth dudes were hanging out downstairs anxious to get a "money shot" before she skipped town.

"Good luck," I chuckled, as I headed off to a chic soiree I was invited to on the pool deck.

Shortly after I sauntered in, there was as definite buzz in the air.

Yup!

Although Britney made a quiet entrance into the par-tay through a side-door, the news swept through the upscale party guests quicker than the speed of lightning, that the scandal-ridden Pop Queen was in their midst!

I reported on the event at the time.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2008/06/cinevegas-film-festivalbritney-spears.html

By the way, I couldn't resist strolling by the vicinity where she was holding court, to get a gander myself.

OMG!

Britney and I actually exchanged glances!

Now, her handlers have announced that Britney will be attending the Grand Opening of Nikki Beach at the newly-renovated Tropicana Hotel on the weekend, after she performs live! on stage in a much-anticipated Las Vegas concert. (which I expect will be a sell-out).

No doubt, long queues will form at the glittering Hotel on that celebrated evening, when the young DIVA makes her grand entrance into the frenzied swirl of Las Vegas social life!

See 'ya there!

Pet Alert...crack the windows open! Desert heat deadly!

Folks were up-in-arms bright-and-early this morning when they spied a small terrier locked inside a SUV with all the windows closed tight as-a-drum!

Because the driver parked in the shade outside a retail outlet, I expect they imagined that there was no need to crack the windows a tad to ensure their lovable pup was able to breath safely inside while they were off doing errands.

Wrong!

Even out of direct sunlight, the interior of a vehicle may quickly soar to unbearable deadly temperatures.

Get smart, animal owners!

Otherise, concerned citizens may be petitioning to have those family pets turned over to individuals who are capable (and intelligent enough) to properly care for a pet.

Amen!

Sahara Hotel...nostalgia buffs brave sweltering heat to snatch up keep-sakes!

If you were cruising down the Vegas strip on Thursday, you probably caught sight of a throng of tourists and locals alike, perspiring profusely in the sweltering heat in a line that snaked down the street for blocks on end.

Nope!

The folks were not anxious to snap up tickets for an upcoming headlining act.

On the contrary, die-hard souvenir-seekers were waiting patiently - sometimes upwards of three grueling hours - to gain entrance to a liquidation sale held at the Sahara Hotel which I reported on a couple of days ago.

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2011/06/sahara-hotelnostalgia-sale-everything.html

As I noted in my previous report, the Sahara closed its doors to the public in May and is now in the process of clearing out the inventory - in some cases - at rock-bottom prices.

And, nostalgia buffs - a few practical types, too - are out to snap up a few collectibles if only for old time's sake.

After all, the Sahara Hotel was once a former haunt of the infamous "rat pack".

Uh-huh!

Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin - and a gang of swinging wannabees - once flocked to the glittering showcase in the heyday of Vegas when the "mob" ruled.

On Thursday, potential buyers paid $10.00 a pop

Within hours, beaming shoppers were later spied hauling out their spoils, with a smug look of satisfaction on their beaming faces tanned to perfection by the desert sun.

What was up for grabs?

Novel Camel Lamps - which once rested on night-stands in every suite in the once-chic Hotel - sold briskly 150 smackeroos.

Publicity stills of - Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, and the Beatles - were snapped up quickly, too.

"Even if the item is nailed down, it's for sale," one liquidator presiding over the event underscored in the event there were any doubts.

Meanwhile, items that could be dropped in a pocket or slipped into a take-home bag, were flying out of the Hotel left, right, and center.

For instance, lone poker chips were plucked up for two bucks, while single dinner plates were being wrapped up for five dollars a piece.

A King-size mattress - free of bed bugs, I hope - sold for $325.00.

The purchaser must have had a struggle wrestling that find out the front door, eh?

At press time, still dozens of little treasures were available on site, this week.

By the way, the liquidators have noted that there they will no longer be charging a fee into the fifth day of the sale, so budget-minded folks may want to bear that fact in mind.

The gargantuan sale continues for the next sixty days - when it is expected - that all the desirable primo items will have finally been snatched up and carried off to the four corners of the world.

Happy treasure hunting, eh?

38th Annual Daytime Emmys...Ho Hum telecast! Bold & Beautiful Best Soap! Ellen gets talk-show nod!

Fans of daytime TV coughed up $525.00 a ticket to mix-and-mingle with celebrated guests, B-list actors beamed on the red carpet, and Network Brass nervously stood on the sidelines waiting for the winners to be announced.

Although the 38th Annual Emmy Awards Show was tossed in an exotic locale in the desert oasis at the tony Hilton Hotel, they didn't really take advantage of it.

In sum, the broadcast was pretty pedestrian with few jolts or surprises.

No wonder!

After all, the daytime bill-of-fare on the old boob tube - endless talk, soap operas, and a multitude of mindless game shows - represent the "industry" side of the business.

A posse of workers routinley rise at the crack-of-dawn., head to the studio around six or seven as the sun is rising in the east, then - turn-out a few taped shows like clock-work - before they head home for dinner during the family hour.

Notwithstanding, a current transformation in the entertainment business has resulted in the cancellation of a handful of shows (long-running once-popular soaps, Oprah Winfrey, you name it), which has forced the suits to re-evaluate the tastes (and habits) of the American viewing audience.

Ronn Moss (an actor who plays "Ridge" on the Bold & Beautiful) theorized that one day the sizzling daytime pot-boilers (with plot lines that move along at a snail's pace) will be broadcast on the Internet.

Something tells me that sophisticated web-surfers (who populate the blogosphere) may not be interested in the fluff that the major networks are inclined to offer up though.

By the way, the "Bold & Beautiful" got the nod for the "Best Soap".

Grrrrr!

Years ago, when the serial first started up, I appeared on the show in a cameo role.

Of all the soaps I ever worked on (General Hospital, Young & Restless, Days of Our Lives) the cast of B &

Mr. Moss had a big ego (and acted like he owned the show) while Susan Flannery had the tendency to throw her weight around which was (and still is!) considerable.

By the way, the industry was inclined to sing the praises of Pat Sajak and Alex Trebek (two game-show hosts who have survived the axe over the years) and honor both with Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Deserving!

Of course, there was a loving tribute to Big "O" (Oprah Winfrey) on the heels of her departure from daytime Network TV.

In fact, the organizers of the event conjured up a spanking-new award-category to specially honor her.

The presenters gushed - so much so - that it ended up being way over-the-top.

Gladys Knight's parting song to Oprah was a disaster, too.

I didn't think it was possible for the legendary DIVA to bomb, but she did last night.

On occasion, Knight warbled off-key, gasped for breath, and strained to hit the high notes (which she missed more-often-than-not).

In contrast, Celine Dion sang one of Oprah's favorite hits beautifully.

At one point, when Susan Lucci sauntered up onto the stage, the host was inclined to take pokes at her character Erika Kane.

"You know, Erika was actually married eleven times, not eight," he joked.

"In fact, she played both sides of the fence," he quipped - at which point - a clip of Erika Kane marching down the aisle with Ellen DeGeneres sprang to life on the screen.

The audience roared.

By the way, the Ellen DeGeneres show won in the best talk show category this year.

Congrats, Ellen!

Unfortunately, Wayne Brady (a game-show host locally) failed to make the grade in his capacity as Master of Ceremonies.

Well, I'll put it this way.

Brady is no Neil Patrick Harris!

'Til next year!

Las Vegas...stench in front of Luxor causes tourists to gag! Curse of the Pharaohs?

Foul stench a curse of the Pharaohs?

Whew!

What a stench that was wafting around the Luxor Hotel on Las Vegas Boulevard last evening!

Shortly after I cashed out at the Casino, and stepped out of the beautifully-crafted Pyramid, I just about gagged when a vile odor (spoiled sewage?) assailed my nostrils.

Pedestrians all around me - not only grabbed up hankies to cover their faces - but let out little screams as they  dashed into the closest Hotel to avoid the foul fumes.

Does Las Vegas have a problem with its basic plumbing?

Get the engineers on that right away, Mayor Goodman, or folks will be filing lawsuits over their upset tummies and heaving.

Pet Peeves...Las Vegas card "snappers" flash porno in tourist's faces! Fines for littering, please!

If you have ever taken a stroll along the Vegas strip on a balmy night - between Flamingo and Tropicana - you have probably been "assaulted" by a bevy of pornographic images of half-naked women which Mexican day-workers try to thrust into your face every few seconds.

Uh-huh!

The "snappers" (when they try to foist a filthy smut shot in your direction they twist the card so it makes a cracking sound) not only jump in and totally invade your space" on the street - but literally try to force a business card (promoting the porno industry's live nude shows and call girls for hire) into your sweaty little palm.

On one annoying occasion, a Latino woman stuck a handful of the nasty adverts into my armpit as I strolled by, after I attempted to shoe her away.

My pet peeve?

Tourists (and locals alike) should be able to casually stroll down the street without being forced to take a glance at these sleazy scantily-clad women on the face of the calling cards!

If that weren't bad enough, it should also be noted - that a larger proportion of the smutty ads - end up splattered all over the sidewalks!

Imagine that!

Young tots - whose eye lines tend to be closer to the pavement than their parents in tow - are treated to an avalanche of nasty erotic publicity stills of bare boobs and peek-a-boo crotches.

A shocker, if 'ya ask me.

Personally, I think it is high time that law enforcement (or security on the strip) kept a watchful eye on these vendors to ensure that they cease and desist with the reprehensible conduct which spoils a pleasant night out-on-the-town in the desert resort.

In addition, the card sharks should be forced to rid the streets of their smut by the end of the evening.

Or, face "stiff" fines for littering.

Amen!

Garth Brooks...inducted into Hall of Fame! Gigs at Wynn Resort! June 23rd - June 25th!

On Thursday, Country & Western superstar Garth Brooks was inducted into the 42nd Songwriters "Hall of Fame" by his peers.

Brooks delighted guests when he took the stage with Billy Joel at the chi-chi awards ceremony in NYC (both were clad in chic black cowboy ensembles) and performed a vastly entertaining duet which featured the hit tune "Shameless".

Gracious Brooks was quick to turn the spotlight on Billy Joel, though, which underscored just how humble the celebrated cowpoke can be.

"Billy Joel is one of the greatest songwriters of all time," Brooks gushed in so many words, as the rapt audience gazed on from below the footlights.

The fact that Joel took a day out of his life to saunter onto the stage with Brooks made the C&W performer feel "lucky".

Fans will be, too, in the event they managed to snap up tickets for the Brooks gig about to kick-off at the Wynn Resort later this week.

When Steve Wynn first signed Garth Brooks to the upcoming stint on the strip the show-biz news made headlines around the country.

The lucrative deal left Brooks "sitting pretty" with a host of spoils that lesser-knowns could only pray and fantasize about ever achieving.

For example, a fleet of stretch "Rolls Royce" limousines purring at the curb 24/7 - and luxury jets at-the-ready to take flight on a whim at the drop-of-a-cowboy-hat - are nothing to sniff at.

How do I hop aboard, Mr. Wynn?

By the way, break a leg, eh Garth?

Khloe Kardashian...celebrates Birthday in Vegas @ Chateau! David Spade at Venetian! Mary Wilson @ Riviera!

Celebs have been flying in-and-out of town this past week attending annivessary celebrations of popular musical hits such as "LOVE" (Paul McCartney, Yoko Ono, George Marin), signing books at trendy "in" spots on the strip (Holly Madison at Paris), and making a splash at the spanking-new opening of Nikki Beach at the newly-renovated Tropicana (Wayne Newton).

And, the trend continues over the weekend, go figure!

In spite of the fact three-digit temperatures have been sending locals - and tourists alike - poolside to seek much-needed relief!

Tonight, Khloe Kardashian - of reality-TV fame - will be toasted at a "B"-day celebration at the Chateau Nightclub at Paris.

If you hurry, there may be a few seats available, before a crush hits the Hotel Lobby early this evening in a mad scramble for tickets last-minute.

Fans may recall that the zany comic appeared in two well-received feature films "Tommy Boy" and "Joe Dirt".

His role in the TV Sitcom - "Just Shoot Me" - earned Mr. Spade a coveted Emmy Award (or two) and a coveted Golden Globe nomination.

In the past, Spade's informal style has put the audience at ease - enough so - that they tend to feel they're right at home instead of the environs of the cozy theatre at the upscale chic Hotel.

Las Vegas...Hotel security guards abuse guests & violate rights! Losers in monkey suits!

I felt vindicated today when I opened up the "Review Journal" and spied a report on the ongoing abusive and illegal conduct of security guards at a handful of the local Hotels - which has not only spoiled vacations for tourists - but ended up violating their civil rights in the process.

Tattler readers may recall that I have written exposes on these issues in past posts.

Gold Spike Hotel

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2010/07/gold-spikeimpotent-security-guard-brian.html

According to the Review Journal reporter, Hotels try to keep the incidents of assault and battery on guests "Hush Hush" to avoid bad publicity and to protect their coveted image in the industry-at-large.

The main problem?

The Hotels are inclined to employ cocky security guards (unqualified losers who failed to make the grade as legitimate Police Officers officers at recognized Law Enforcement Agencies) who daily abuse their power and end up violating the rights of Hotel guests in the process.

The truth of the matter?

The rinky-dink security details (who are under the mistaken impression that they have big-swinging dicks hanging between their legs) are gangs of thugs in monkey suits with deep-rooted psychological problems.

In the Review Journal's expose, it was noted that security footage on file revealed that guests were nabbed without provocation in some instant cases and held without their will for no good reason.

Shocking DVD records in court records also determined - that on more than one occasion - a major Hotel on the Vegas Strip, handcuffed guests and took photographs of the individuals for their files (!) before releasing the shaken patrons with a warning that if they returned to the Casino they would be arrested (for what crime?).

In response, the Hotels in question were forced to face litigation, and settle out-of-court.

One online reader at the Review Journal web site actually had the audacity to allege that so-called "victims" were just opportunists seeking "marks" with deep pockets (big bucks Hotel owners).

Bullshit!

I have personally witnessed the abusive - illegal - conduct on the Casino floor at a handful of the local Hotels in the desert oasis.

I always urge victims to sue for damages to deter such heinous conduct in the future.

After all, tourists - and locals alike - are legally entitled to frequent local establishments provided they abide by the house rules and regulations and do not break any laws in the Las Vegas community-at-large!

Amen!

Lily Tomlin...funny lady slated for gig at The Orleans in Vegas! Ernestine callling!

If you're as old as the hills like moi - or inclined to watch a few reruns late at night when the insomnia sets in - then you probably recall the hilarious sketches that Lily Tomlin appeared in on Laugh-In many moons ago.

Her characterizations were hilarious - Ernestine the telephone operator - probably the most memorable.

Now the gal with all the glitzy awards hardware - four Emmys, one Tony, one Grammy and two Peabody Awards - is obviously hankering to kick up her heels and entertain live for her fans on stage once again.

So, the remarkable multi-talented Tomlin, will be appearing on stage at The Orleans (Las Vegas) June 18th - June 19th (this weekend).

I met Lily at a Film Festival a few years ago in Culver City and found the woman to be warm, outgoing, and gracious.

Expect a lot of the same on the occasion of her two-night concert (which will probably sell-out).

See 'ya there!

Motley Crue...slated for gig @ Red Rock in Vegas! New York Dolls opening act!

On one of the morning talk shows recently, Vince Neil was quite ecstatic about an upcoming gig at the Red Rock Amphitheatre on June 18th in the desert oasis.

According to the effervescent musician, trotting out on stage to perform live is still a huge adrenalin rush!

After all, the kid's not jaded, folks!

Last year, I caught a concert he tossed in tandem with the grand opening of a tattoo parlour at one of the local Hotel Resorts just off the Vegas strip.

I tell 'ya - the dude can not only still kick ass on stage - but thrill fans as well as the rock 'n roll elite!

At the Red Rock, Mr. Neil will reunited with former band members - Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx, and the legendary Tommy Lee - and is expected to wow once again.

A fan or two will be delighted to hear that Tommy Lee intends to invite one or two lucky ticket-holders up onto the stage to participate in his "roller coaster" drum ride!

At a recent press junket, Lee excitedly noted that at one point in the show, his kit will be lifted off the ground and spin at a full 360 degrees as he wildly plays 'em.

Can't wait, can you?

By the by, the New York Dolls are booked to warm up Motley Crue when the curtain goes up.

Back in the 1970's, I used to bump into "David Doll" around town in those heady days when the music subculture was thriving in the lower east side.

When it came to a sexy "front man" - the androgynous David Doll - was totally "it".

His wardrobe was the envy of David Bowie, just betcha!

It will be curious to get a gander at the New York Dolls a dozen-or-two years later in Vegas.

See 'ya there!

Mayor Goodman...Vegas politician send-off par-tay! Fremont Street Experience!

Mayor Goodman - the head honcho at City Hall on his way "out" - does not intend to end his long stint in the "hot seat" with a whimper - or without a King-size Martini or three in hand!

In fact - handlers at the Mayor's Office have just announced - that the man with an eye for pretty showgirls - and a no-nonsense approach to desert politics - is tossing a kick-off party at the Fremont Street Experience tomorrow night at Stage 1 in downtown Las Vegas!

Locals - and tourists alike - are invited to celebrate with His Honor between 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

Sahara Hotel...Nostalgia sale! Everything must go! Including the kitchen sink!

Shortly after the elaborate lobby of the Sahara Hotel shut down - and management took inventory - a spokesperson for the legendary Hotel (where Elvis, the Beatles, and a host of other notables either graced the stage or passed-out on the comfy beds in the well-appointed suites too pooped to participate) announced that the business entity which controlled the assets would be selling-off all the contents of the once-sumptuous lodgings.

Uh-huh!

The Sahara Hotel is holding a "nostalgia sale".

"Everything must go," the owners noted yesterday to the media, in no uncertain terms.

Except for the "roller-coaster" - out front - which stays.

Starting tomorrow, the Sahara will toss open its doors - at $10.00 a pop - and allow serious buyers (lookie-loos, too) to browse for keepsakes.

And, what a treasure trove that will be!

"I'd like one of those Elvis publicity stills that has  been gracing the wall for years," one fan gushed to a reporter who was there to take stock of the inventory.

A few former guests are bent on snapping up the "Camel" table lamps which once rested on each nightstand in all the suites at the Sahara until renovations a few years ago which transformed the overall "look" of the Vegas digs.

A life-size camel is also going on the chopping block ($12,000.00) alongside slot machines, gaming tables, and even the kitchen sink!

Unfortunately, collectors - and sentimental locals - won't be able to take a gander at the offerings online before the items start flying out the front door.

All interested parties must pay the entrance fee up-front at the lobby doors to get a glance at the unique collectibles.

"It's first-come, first-served," underscored the Hotel employee with a tinge of melancholy in his voice.

The "yard sale" kicks off tomorrow bright-and-early (if I am not mistaken).

Check with the Hotel staff for details.

See 'ya there!

Miss USA...to be crowned in Vegas this week! Rima Fakih a party animal!

A bevy of bodacious babes have been sashaying around "Sin City" with one precious goal in mind.

Why, to snatch up the coveted crown for Miss USA, in a glitzy celebration slated to be launched at Planet Hollywood's tony environs on the weekend!

In fact, since this year's hopefuls first paraded on the star-studded red carpet a week ago (there are 51 contestants in all), the competition has been sizzling hot 'n heavy!

The young beauties have not only been anxiously posing for official high-fashion photographs - but also- dashing off to wardrobe fittings, in addition to indulging in whimsical hair and makeup sessions.

For those hankering to get a gander at the finalists, cruise on over to Miss USA.com, to get an up-close look at the swimsuit publicity stills.

Sarah Chapman, Miss Nevada USA, is featured in her Kandy Wrappers bikini!

Although reigning Miss USA (Rima Fakih) has lamented to the press in recent days that handlers behind-the-scenes at the pageant have unfairly scolded her for being too much of a "party animal", the last word is that the exotic darling will teach a belly-dance class poolside at the end of fast-paced kick-off week.

Then, Fakih will end her reign with a perfect send-off from illusionist Nathan Burton.

According to insiders, the magician will levitate the current Miss USA 10 feet above a waterfall at the trendy "in" spot where the festivities are expected to unfold to a packed house.

If the scuttlebutt is true, the organization - and all its hard-working employees - are praying Rima will simply vanish into thin air!

Las Vegas...curfew for teens without parents in tow! Nevada a Police State?

The tell-tale sight of idle teens gone blotto on the Vegas strip after-hours may become an unruly phenomenon of the past now that Officials have given Law Enforcement the nod to enforce a curfew to take effect immediately in "Sin" City.

During the weekdays, teens - 18 and under - will only be permitted to cruise the boulevard after 10 p.m. if there is a consenting adult (family member and/or friend) or parent in tow!

On Friday and Saturday nights the curfew has been set at 9 p.m.

Which begs two questions.

Will you know where your kids are after-hours during the week in the glitzy environs of the desert oasis when they get-down and party-hearty?

For starters, if they are on the Las Vegas strip alone after curfew, they may end up at the local lock-up downtown.

And, the shocked rebels may find themselves charged with a misdemeanor

Meanwhile, Civil Rights Activists are shaking their heads in disbelief and wondering aloud.

Is Nevada on the way to becoming a Police State?

Britney Spears..."Circus" comes to Vegas MGM Grand! June 25th!

Just a few weeks ago, San Franciscans maneuvered their way into a frenzied packed concert hall downtown, to get an up-close and personal gander at their Pop Princess!

Although a handful of critics sniped over every little thing - from the pouty star's alleged "lacklustre" robot-like dance moves to her oh-so ho-hum wardrobe struts - the die-hard fans were not disappointed in the least.

Now, the big Britney Spears "Circus" heads into Las Vegas on the 25th of June, and lands at the MGM Grand arena.

I expect the much-anticipated Brit extravaganza will be a sell-out!
