Britney Spears...to sashay into Nikki Beach Par-tay! "Circus Girl" the toast of Vegas!

The last time I spied Britney Spears poolside in the desert oasis was a couple of years ago when I attended the local film festival - CineVegas - at a handful of venues around town.

I was interviewing celebs on the red carpet when I happened to strike up a rapport with a couple of the local paparazzi who plied me with juicy inside tidbits about Ms. Spears.

Uh-huh!

Scandal-ridden Brit was suffering from the blues when she jetted in to town for a respite from it all that week.

"Britney is hunkered down in a Condo upstairs," one of the professional snoops confided in me.

"She's a good friend of the Hotel owner, George Maloof," he underscored, as an afterthought.

I was quite familiar with the scuttlebutt.

Ms. Spear's musical persona was in the dumper and rumors abounded that Maloof was going to sign her to a contract with the specific aim of raising up her wobbling career like a Phoenix from the ashes.

The two outgoing down-to-earth dudes were hanging out downstairs anxious to get a "money shot" before she skipped town.

"Good luck," I chuckled, as I headed off to a chic soiree I was invited to on the pool deck.

Shortly after I sauntered in, there was as definite buzz in the air.

Yup!

Although Britney made a quiet entrance into the par-tay through a side-door, the news swept through the upscale party guests quicker than the speed of lightning, that the scandal-ridden Pop Queen was in their midst!

I reported on the event at the time.

By the way, I couldn't resist strolling by the vicinity where she was holding court, to get a gander myself.

OMG!

Britney and I actually exchanged glances!

Now, her handlers have announced that Britney will be attending the Grand Opening of Nikki Beach at the newly-renovated Tropicana Hotel on the weekend, after she performs live! on stage in a much-anticipated Las Vegas concert. (which I expect will be a sell-out).

No doubt, long queues will form at the glittering Hotel on that celebrated evening, when the young DIVA makes her grand entrance into the frenzied swirl of Las Vegas social life!

See 'ya there!

Lady Gaga...child of diversity! Pop Gladiator @ Circus Maximus in Italy!

Russell Crowe must have been doing a double-take!

At Circus Maximus over the weekend (where studly slaves once savagely battled each other to the death for the blood-thirsty mobs in Ancient Rome) - Pop Gladiator Lady Gaga tossed on a neon Green fright wig atop a chic fashion ensemble - then ceremoniously effected a sensual strut onstage to tout an alternative lifestyle and subculture.

"I'm a child of diversity," the ballsy bitch from hell cried out, just before denouncing intolerance and discrimination against the LGBT community-at-large over gay pride weekend overseas.

On the heels of a roar of approval from fans (and a gang of little monsters, no doubt) the top-selling recording artist of 2011 (at press time!) belted out a few bars of a catchy little ditty fresh off her new release "Born this Way".

For European "gays" - who flocked into the historic landmark - there was no looking back.

Hail, to the ultimate Queen, Lady Gaga!

Lady Gaga...Born This Way top sales getter! Savvy promo strategy?

Shortly after Lady Gaga strutted out on stage at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in an exotic outfit replete with mysterious mask and black plumage and elegantly alighted next to Dave Letterman, the Pop Diva found herself peppered with a serious of in-depth questions from toothy Dave.

Of particular interest to the late-night host were the Pop Diva's earnings potential (and what comprised those figures).

"I guess you have to tour to make money because there isn't enough to be made in record sales," Dave quizzed at the top of the highly-rated CBS late-night show.

"No, actually I make a lot of money with my records," Lady Gaga gushed excitedly.

Indeed!

In fact, on the night of her appearance on Letterman, the sales for her latest album "Born this Way" were literally soaring into the stratosphere.

As part of a savvy record promotion, the Amazon web site - if you recall - was offering up the latest offering by the Pop Diva for a one-time fee of 99 cents!

The demand was so high for the product, that the portal was overwhelmed - and subsequently - crashed!

Some die-hard fans were crushed when the downloads ended up stalled or incomplete - and, in some cases - contained only one or two playable tunes!

After apologizing profusely, Amazon tried a second shot at the deal of the century, after the site was overhauled to accommodate thousands of  Lady Gaga Monsters anxious to get their copy pronto later in the week!

Needless to say, the endeavour paid off big time!

"Born  this Way" ranked the biggest first-week album in six years (1.11 million in sales).

Previously, 50 Cent sold 1.15 million in 2005.

Some industry analysts attribute the phenomenal success of the album to a round of guest appearances a week prior to the release on sizzling hot shows like Saturday Night Live (featuring Justin Timberlake), American Idol (where she performed a steamy erotic dance number with a sexy male stud), and the ever-popular Good Morning America.

According to Keith Caulfield at Billboard, Lady Gaga is a "true pop superstar, ostensibly the biggest in the past three years. Every single is a hit. Every video is a water-cooler moment. All eyes are on Gaga."

And, where are Lady Gaga's sights set now?

American Idol...Scotty McCreery edges out Lauren Alaina! Viewers pick snubbed by Country!

After all the stops were pulled out, Scotty McCreery - the western-style contestant - finally inched ahead of his competition (songbird Lauren Alaina) in a competition that was the most nerve-wracking yet on American Idol since its inception.

But, the spoils are a bit bittersweet for the hick from the sticks.

As Mr. McCreery looks toward future career prospects, one in the realm of the coveted Country-Western scene may be elusive, if the reports are true.

On the heels of his win, for example, scuttlebutt has been circulating in some circles that Scotty - likable down-to-earth aw-shucks kid that he is - may get a royal snub from die-hard Country-Western aficionados who view the Idol-winner with a bit of a squinty -eye.

In fact, Stark Radio just broadcast a report alleging that country radio programmers have already written the American Idol winner off.

Copycat versions of other folk's songs - karaoke-style - may not cut it with dudes and dudettes who are dead-serious about their roots, their music influences, and an ethic that they live by.

The competition was a close-call, needless to say.

When Lauren suffered a vocal discord (!) this week, it looked like the young hopefuls final bid was kaput, or paving the way for a contestant to step in from-the-wings to take up the task of beating the popular home boy.

But, Lauren managed to pull up her stockings - and in true show-biz style -  followed a golden Hollywood tradition that the show must go on.

In spite of the setback, many viewers thought her final performance this week, beat Scotty hands-down.

Though not a great singer, some have conceded - especially in the wake of Lauren's bouts of nervousness when it came time to perform live in front of an audience - that Scotty was the best all-round performer.

He nabbed it, not because of his voice per se, but for his showmanship in the final analysis.

Many fans actually thought Lauren fared better than Scotty on Tuesday's final showdown.

Go figure!
It will be intriguing to see what is ahead for both young talents.

Lady GaGa...slated for Dave Letterman tonight! Diva chats up BORN THIS WAY release!

For Lady GaGa - of late - it's been a non-stop swirl of frenzied show-biz trailblazing!

Catch it if you can!

Lady GaGa...tweets about "Born This Way" iTunes release!

About three minutes ago, Lady GaGa - fresh off a smash sizzling hot appearance on Saturday Night Live last night - excited tweeted:

In 4hrs 15 minutes BORN THIS WAY will be released on Itunes:
I can't believe it's finally happening.

12am ET / 9pm PT .

Congrats Lady GaGa!

Lady Gaga...shows tats on SNL & flair for comedy! Justin Timberlake comic timing!

When Lady GaGa sashayed on to the Saturday Night Live stage a few moments ago, outfitted as a bottle of wine in a hilarious supermarket sketch with Justin Timberlake playing a bottle of beer (Gosh, who writes this stuff, anyway?) it was obvious that the chanteuse's performance was not only pure Pop Diva - but something else - too.

Vintage!

Was the Queen of Pop poking fun at her own image?

The large cork on her head triggered a myriad of  hilarious punch lines in my mind, too.

Princess Beatrice eat your heart out!

In another skit - a spoof on a MTV-style music video - Lady GaGa took a wicked swipe at a bevy of Hollywood beauties and managed to expose the naughty underbelly of Hollywood, too.

In view of the fact media focus has been on a glut of infomercials clogging up the broadcast airwaves recently - the image of Suzanne Somers thrusting her sexy gams  skyward in a sleazy bedroom setting was bang on and resonated with a kernel of truth.

When it comes to social commentary, the Monster Queen is capable of hitting the bull's eye along with the best of 'em.

In a solo set, true to form, the songbird with the ruffled feathers did not disappoint fans when she strutted on stage in a black vinly outfit (oozing with a lot of sex appeal) teamed with knee-high boots and trended-setting streaked black "do".

A pie-wedge hat GaGa performed in at one point reminded me of a yummy dessert I hungrily gulped down at an upscale cafe at the St. Frnacis Hotel in San Francisco recently.

Delicious!

Surprisingly, Lady GaGa elected to flash a lot of boob, too.

Arnold Schwarzenegger must have been at home drooling in bed (among other things).

The male dancers got in on the act, too.

The talented back-up troupe dazzled in futuristic gladiator-style garb.

The hard rocking dudes gave Madonna's studs a run for their money, alright.

In sum, Lady GaGa made a startling breakthrough tonight - and at the same time - demonstraed a zany flair for comedy tonight.

Ms. GaGa's creative well, obviously, runs deep!

I expect fans and curiosity-seekers will be tuning in to Good Morning America next week to catch her live concert in Central Park.

See 'ya there!

I want your sexy Justin Timberlake!

Lady Gaga...guest talent on SNL! Justin Timberlake hosts zany comedy hour!

Die-hard fans of Pop Diva Lady Gaga have been braving the elements since Tuesday in the mean streets of New York in a last-ditch effort to snatch up a "stand by" seat  for the sseason finale of  Saturday Night Live tonight.

The coveted tickets may be hard to come since they are only issued in the event of a "no show" at the theatre.

At the crack-of-dawn today, little monster were treated to a sneak preview of Lady GaGa's eye-popping fashion statment for the evening.

Sporting what appeared to be a blood red shiny slicker - with matching hood - the slightly eccentric stage phenomenon appeared for-all-the-world to be a fashionista's charismatic idea of a modern-day Little Red Hiding Hood!

Justin Timberlake - no slouch in the style department - hosts what is expected to be a thrilling night of entertainment sure to resonate with the fans, tourists, out-of-towners, you name it!

Lady Gaga...launches live! Concert series! Good Morning America Central Park series!

Good Morning America announced this past week amid a lot of fanfare that they are whipping up a summer concert series to be set in the picturesque climbs of Central Park.

The live! stage performances will feature headline acts such as Beyonce, Jennifer Hudson, and Debbie Gibson  (to name a few).

Lady Gaga has snagged the top slot.

The Pop Diva (with Monsters in tow) will launch the eclectic pop music concerts on GMA.

Just when Lady Gaga appeared to be simmering on the back burner in pop circles - SHAZZAM - the talented songbird (who writes her own original material) rebounded out-of-the-blue and soared farther into the musical stratosphere.

Last week, for example, Lady Gaga mentored American Idol hopefuls as they trotted down the last lap of the highly-popular entertainment phenonemon on Fox TV.

Mewanwhile, the recent release of her new video - Judas - caused a controversy which erupted into a media storm around the country overnight.

At this juncture, the only medium that Lady Gaga hasn't conquered (yet!) is the realm of film.

Just betcha - a biopic, documentary, or thought-provoking narrative - is in the cards for the Queen of Pop.

My prediction?

Lady Ga may end up a legendary icon like screen siren Mae West.

Come up and see me sometime,  eh Lady?

The first GMA performanc – featuring the Mad Hatteress of Pop – is slated for May 27th!

See ‘ya there!

Lady Gaga...mentors American Idol!

On the heels of her sizzling-hot release, Judas - Pop Diva Lady Gaga - will charge into the rehearsal hall at American Idol next week to mentor the four finalists vying for pop star super stardom.

The segment - featuring the Queen of the Monster circuit - will be broadcast May 11th.

James Durbin, Scotty McCreery, Haley Reinhart and Lauren Alaina will perform songs written by award-winners Leiber & Stoller.

The songwriters are best-known for drumming up memorable musical top-charters like "Hound Dog" and "Jailhouse Rock."

"Stand By Me" was another big hit they penned.

In addition to the exciting news about Lady Gaga, American Idol producers have acknowledged that there is another treat in store for fans next week.

Steven Tyler will premiere his new music video, “(It) Feels So Good" on the May 12th results show.

Finally, it should be noted that Ryan Seacrest (MySpace friend) announced that auditions for Season 11 will begin Tuesday June 28th in St. Louis.

The show will follow up that open-call session with others in Portland (OR) and Charleston (S.C).

Audition tips?

*Relax
*Start the audition only when you're ready to avoid false starts
*Maintain control throughout the performance & build slowly
"Focus on breathing, phrasing, and style
*Make eye contact with the Judges

Break a leg, eh?

See 'ya there!

Lady Gaga..."Judas" confession leaked on web! Sure to be a bullet rife with controversy!

With Easter upon us and Lady Gaga's latest single "Judas" about to be released world-wide on April 19th - a controversy is sure to erupt - in the aftermath.

Well - in the Western World - for starters!

Will the Vatican denounce the Pop Diva - who just may be a nice little Catholic girl under all the pushed-up bras, net stockings, and frenzied hoopla and hype - once the accompanying Video rocks the airwaves later in the week?

Not surprisingly, "Judas" has already made its way onto the web, just shy of  the official release.

A ploy by "L" to rev up buzz - or just an honest-to-goodness case of Internet pirating by enterprising monsters out to push their Pop Diva into the stratosphere - and roaring glare of the spotlight once again just in time for a change of season?

As we used to say in the "old" days, spring time is our time, eh?

At press time, Interscope Records hasn't uttered a peep in response.

However, the Diva's throaty vocals, say it all.

"Ohhh, I'm in love with Judas," she gushes on the track, which is accompanied by building synths.

Soon a thumping electronic beat kicks in as Gaga sings:

"Judahhh/ Juda-a-ah/ Gaga."

The signature bump and grind is reminiscent of "Bad Romance."

Meanwhile, MTV spouts that "Judas" is simply Gaga’s version of the Bible.

A confession?

"Let the cultural baptism begin," Gaga giggle recently in a Video release at Gagavision.

"If they were not who you were taught they would be, would you still believe?"

As the Emperor would say in "Amadeus".

"There you have it, then!"

Amen!

Pop Diva hit monster!

Enrique Iglesias...pulls out of Britney Spears - er - tour! Diva (Latino Idol) miffed at 2nd billing!

No way, Jose!

Enrique Iglesias angrily stomped his foot, and pulled out of the Britney Spears tour late yesterday afternoon, after the Pop Diva announced to a gushing fan base that the sexy heartthrob would be hitting the road as her warm-up act.

Ooops!

Handlers noted in a terse press statement that the popular crooner was under the impression that the gig was going to be a "double-bill".

Once the disgruntled hit-maker caught wind of - what he perceived as a "step down" in his career - he was quick to cut the ties that bound him to the loopy Pop Star on a rebound in her own career daze.

What a humiliation!

And, you thought Divas only came in the female variety, eh?

Britney Spears...zooms into Castro to greet fans! ABC TV switches gears for damage control!

Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
San Francisco

The big event over the weekend in San Francisco was the free Britney Spears concert in the Castro District.

Wait a minute, wasn't the much-ballyhooed event relcoated to the Bill Graham Civic Center in downtown San Francisco?

Well, yes, in the 11th hour a decision was made by ABC brass to switch venues.

This is where it gets tricky!

Initially, ABC's "Good Morning America" cited security issues as grounds for tossing the Pop Diva's blow-out gig at the indoor location instead of in the throbbing groin of of a neighborhood affectionately referred to by the locals as "gay gulch".

But, after the word trickled back that residents of the Castro District felt "snubbed" by the last-minute Britney no-show (for dubious reasons), the suits did an about-face and attempted emergency damage control.

Uh-huh!

Suddenly, the focus was shifted to dark ominous clouds that had been rumbling overhead in recent days and - of course - cries that inclement weather might force a cancellation altogether!

The clever producers seized on the timely weather forecast to explain away their switcheroo - after-the-fact - which raised a few pretty preened eyebrows in the process.

In fact, over the weekend in the picturesque City by the Bay, a posse of gussied-up Drag Queens proceeded to poke fun at Britney in a sort-of light-hearted roast.

For example, comics at a "Britney Night Drag Show" (at a trendy watering hole South of Market) sashayed up on stage to lampoon the Diva, her propensity to slurp down mocha lattes, dangle cigarettes off the edge of a pouty lip, and play up her baby-doll demeanour for whatever reason that was blowing in the wind that day!

What a hoot!

Heklina - a local celeb (and Icon in her own right) - pointed an accusing finger at Ms. Spears in the wake of all the controversy hovering over Brit's pending arrival in fag heaven.

"This whole Castro appearance, I think, was born in some marketing room somewhere," she blabbed to everyone within earshot.

Needless to say, Brit was anxious to offer an olive branch, in view of the wagging tongues that were chirping incessantly - and not always so favorably - around the pop landscape.

Even the editors at the San Francisco Chronicle must have been miffed; after all, they published in Sunday's Edition, that Britney was performing on stage in the Castro that day.

Ooops!

ABC's announcement was issued too late to prevent a snafu!

Notwithstanding,  it is doubtful many bought their excuses, in view of the obvious.

Hasn't ABC ever facilitated the use of spritely-colored eye-catching canvas tents, when the threat of rain was expected to spoil a staged event outdoors just prior to curtain?

Needless to say, on the heels of her entertaining upbeat stage show (OMG! Brit allegedly lip-synched the tunes in spite of the fact she was indoors!), the perky pop star was inclined to zoom up to the Castro District to mingle with a gaggle of her die-hard fans in the street as she popped in-and-out-of a handful of shops on the look-out for spiffy threads to don.

In particular, Ms. Spears also made a point of slipping into one community outlet, that raises funds for A.I.D.S. research, funding, and assistance to the afflicted.

Good on you, Brit!

Bottom line, Ms. Spears saved herself from toppling over the edge of the Abyss, thankfully for her wildly supportive fans!

BritneyMania...hits streets of San Francisco! Gays burn CD's???

As I headed up Polk Street bright-and-early this morning, I spied a 6' 3" tall muscle-bound stud all dolled-up in a pink satin frock, paired with chic pricey heels, topped with a blond fright wig (a parody of you-know-who?); a bevy of bodacious boy-toys cruising merrily-along; and a line of Britney Spears fans that snaked - somewhat uniformly (with the help of the City's finest) - down-and-around several blocks as far as the naked eye could see.

About every ten minutes or so, when the queue inched forward, the thronging masses roared so loudly that the commotion could be heard a 1/4 of-a-mile-away.

Of course, the Pop Diva - Britney Spears - was about to take the stage live! in a free concert sponsored by ABC TV's popular morning talk show "Good Morning America".

However, up until curtain call, there was still some confusion about where Ms. Britney was set to alight her sexy bod!

This was evident, when I stopped to snap up a soda, and overheard two studly young guys chatting each other up.

"Just think, right now we could be in the Castro District with thousands of hotties watching the Britney Spears concert outside the Castro Theatre," one cutie chirped to his obvious lover.

Not!

Last minute, citing security issues, ABC was inclined to relocate the Spears extravaganza to the Civic Center in downtown Frisco, instead.

As I noted in a post last evening, a few of the shopkeepers on Castro Street also complained about the potential loss of business due to traffic jams (!), which may have figured into things a tad.

Post:  03/26/11

http://ijulian.blogspot.com/2011/03/britney-spearssan-francisco-concert.html

Some dim-wit actually sent me a message to inform me that the concert was cancelled; then, in the next breath noted that it had been moved to the Civic Center.

Huh?

ABC TV never cancelled the show, they simple changed the venue, for security reasons.
Needless to say, dedicated Britney-ites managed to fathom the mystery out, and ended up at the "Church" on time.

Was that God-awful stench wafting over the City by the Bay the residual effects of CD's burning all over the Castro District at the witching hour?

This morning - when I conducted a Britney Spears image search - I also spotted a couple of nasty photo shopped stills that spoke volumes.

Hell hath no fury like a Queen scorned!!!

But, for the most part, the shining multitudes who turned up this morning were nonplussed about the last-minute switcheroo.

Brit followers were elevated into the realms of ecstasy at the thought of being just an arm's-length away.

Provided they passed mustard with the burly security guards at the door.

Because City Officials were adamant that there would not be any "sleep-overs" in the squeaky-clean confines of the impressive Civic Center last night, Diva-lovers were forced to rise (maybe not shine) early to land a coveted spot in the limelight.

"I've been here since 7 o'clock," I overheard one pretty babe in Britney gear flutter to all within earshot.

There was quite a media frenzy too, as helicopters buzzed overhead non-stop to capture an aerial view of the Britney phenomenon.

Curiously, a publicity still of Billy Graham on one wall of the concert hall screamed out to the gathering throngs:

"Jesus forgives you!"

And, Britney's fans, obviously.

Later!

An image ABC TV prefers!

Barbra Streisand...bombs @ Grammy Awards! Rusty pipes distract!

Studio "sweetening" for Babs in future?

As Christina Aguilera recovers from the humility of screwing up big time with the lyrics of the National Anthem at the Super Bowl last weekend, "Babs" is forced to reconcile the fact that her once-golden pipes have lost their silky-smooth tones!

Uh-huh!

When La Streisand wafted onto the stage at the Grammy Award celebration last night in Los Angeles - gussied up in a dowdy purple frock (with frightful frizzy out-of-style "do") - it was evident to all within earshot that the funny gal was straining to hit the high notes of the tune she attempt to croon.

Even still, the nostalgic crowd was inclined to send off the Pop Diva in grand style, with a standing "O".

The fact there were no "close-ups" - said it all - in my estimation.

Barbra Streisand gave one of her last bows, without doubt, so cherish it folks!

http://www.thetattler.biz/

Britney Spears..."Hold it against me" soars in spins! Allegations of plagerism!

Britney Spears was walking on air when her single - "Hold it against me" - was released to media outlets around the country this past week.

According to Jive Records (her label) Ms. Spears broke all records for single-day spins in recent years on the radio!

If anything, the once-troubled pop star - who nearly slid into oblivion because of a monkey or two on her back a scant year or so ago - has proved one thing.

Uh-huh!

The blond bimbo bombshell is still a force to reckon with in the music industry.

Her handlers knew that when the Diva's star-turn on GLEE scored high in the overnight ratings race.

Fans are hungry for "anything Britney".

One act is crying foul, though!

The country pop duo - the Bellamy Brothers - couldn't believe their ears when a DJ flipped the platter and they heard what they thought were familiar strains of music on the single as it blasted over the airwaves.

"Didn't we already do that," they wondered aloud to all within earshot.

Indeed!

In 1979, the Country & Western dudes scored big on the charts with a catchy lyric that went something like this:

"If I said You had a Beautiful Body, Would you hold it Against me?"

Ooops!

Just a case of deja vu?

David Bellamy shook his head in disbelief.

"If you listen to the lyrics of Spears' single "Hold it Against  me?" you'll find some major similarities.

"Our little song went No. 1 and has since become one of the defining songs of our career," he groused.

But, he stopped short of accusing the Pop Princess of plagiarising their hit.

Of course, folks familiar with show-biz legends, are keen to the fact that Groucho Marx once used a similar phrase for the punch line of a joke on the highly-rated TV quiz show "You Bet Your Life".

I guess, it is always "open season" on material that is in the public domain, eh?

Britney, you go girl!

And, how was your day?

http://www.thetattler.biz

Lady Gaga...has her eye on you! Paparazzi beware!

Heh, Paparazzi dudes, watch out!

You may end up on Lady Gaga's candid camera show.

Uh-huh!
Lady Gaga has her insightful "eye" on you!

And, her searing take on the terrain around her - um - perimeter - is backed up with a miniature camera installed in the most unlikely of places.

Why - in the designer frame of her ubiquitous signature sunglasses - of course!

Amidst a lot of hoopla at a glitzy state-of-the-art techie convention this past weekend, Lady Gaga unveiled a Polaroid Grey Label product she co-designed.

Initially, it appeared that the Billboard Music ratings-topper - and undisputed Queen of the monster crowd -  was going to be a no-show at the International Electronics Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center on January 6th.

According to an MTV  spokesperson, Lady Gaga did not saunter out onto the stage on the dot, for some inexplicable reason.

Fashionably late?

"We were supposed to go live at 3:30, but she didn't come out until 4:05. She pulled an Axl Rose," Victor Borachuk, director of the Ustream webcast that covered the event blurted to MTV News.

"There was a huge crowd. Everyone was waiting and waiting and waiting. Nobody really got upset that she was late. Everybody sat patiently and waited, which was interesting."

Natch!

When the dazzling chanteuse is about to hold court the world is her oyster!

One of the handlers at the frenzied event was wowed by Gaga's extensive knowledge about the product, though.

"She was actually into the technology. I remember thinking, 'Lady Gaga's into the Polaroid cameras,' " Borachuk said.

The  Pop Music phenomena gushed to an Associated Press reporter that she burnt some midnight oil developing (no pun intended) the sunglasses that boast a camera in the bridge of the nose.

"It's been a really long and exciting and grueling and inspiring process with Polaroid, and we've really done everything we can to improve the instant camera to make it new and make it compatible with digital era," she explained.

"I wanted to create products that I knew they would love to use."

Accessories include a miniature printer capable of rustling up copies on the spur of every delightful festive moment captured on celluloid.

The intriguing camera may turn out to be a practical tool for show-biz tarts like Lindsay Lohan prone to find themselves in awkward altercations with the paparazzi or overzealous rehab center staff.

Social climbers anxious to be caught up in the tail of the comet - with the specific aim of snatching up a glorious moment in the Sun - may think twice about venturing too close (like moth to the flame) to high-profile starlets like Lohan if they're sporting a pair of these stylish-looking shades.

What do they say?

A picture is worth a thousand words - especially where there is potental scandal involved - in the eye of the storm!
