Peter Fonda...Barack Obama a Fu**ing traitor! Hanoi Jane's bro attacks BP Brass!

This year, the picturesque Riviera was graciously hosting the annual Cannes Film Festival, when the prestigiousous proceedings were disrupted by a producer who was bent on levelling a vicious verbal attack on President Barack Obama.

At a press conference to promote a documentary, Peter Fonda noted that he recently pointed an accusing finger at Mr. Obama and labelled him a "fu**ing" traitor.

The "Easy Rider" star was prompted to make the accusation on the eve of the unveiling of a documentary he co-produced aptly titled - The Big Fix - which zerodx in on the alleged BP scandal which prompted many to cry foul in the aftermath of the oil spill when Obama (and the U.S. Government) were slow to respond to the crisis.

An active environmentalist, Fonda also accused Washington of engaging in a cover-up to protect BP and its officials.

"I sent an email to President Obama saying - 'You are a f(expletive) traitor" - Fonda confessed to the startled media present.

'You're a traitor, you allowed foreign boots on our soil telling our military -- in this case the coastguard -- what they can and could not do, and telling us, the citizens of the United States, what we could or could not do," he summed up angrily.

Fonda apparently zipped off the e-mail last week before the film was presented at Cannes for screening.

In addition to his role as co-producer, the offbeat actor (brother of Hanoi Jane and celebrated Thespian Henry Fonda) is featured as a concerned citizen in disturbing scenes which reveal that he (and others) were turned away on the Louisiana Beaches when they voiced their concerns about the disastrous spill which displaced thousands of U.S. Citizens for weeks on end.

The normally easy-going high-profile celebrity (by virtue of his birthright) had no qualms taking questionable potshots at BP Officials across the big pond either.

"I thought we kicked them (the Brits) out a long time ago. They tried to get back in in 1812, but they didn't make it."

Oh Peter, not very diplomatic, at all.

Prince Wills & Kate...proud parents of baby! Penguin?

Well, the wedding gift was unique, alright.

But, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall in the Royal couple's bedroom the night they first learned of the surprise addition to their "family", courtesy of the Chester Zoo!

For those who've been out-of-the-loop, Handsome Wills and pretty Kate became the proud adopted parents of a baby penguin by the name of Acom.
The Humboldt penguin, which is on the endangered species list, will be fostered by the Royal couple for the next twelve months.

The newlyweds aren't required to take hands-on nurturing when it comes to the upkeep of the new addition to the fold.

Acom will remain at the zoo where he'll continue to splash around with his winged friends.

The Royals will have visitation rights, though.

"We thought that as they're both fairly nearby now on Anglesey, then William and Kate might like to take advantage of the free tickets in the adoption pack and spend a day here," a Chester Zoo spokesperson told the BBC.

No word from the Cambridge Manor at press time.

But, I expect the young one, may trigger thoughts of starting a family of their own.

In that event, Kate will no doubt found a myriad of fashionable ways to dress her "baby bump" in style.

BART Blue Sky Festival...San Francisco celebrates smog-free skies! Vendors push environment! Free BART tix!

The promotional publicity still for Bart's "Blue Sky Festival" which kicked-off today in downtown San Francisco  on the waterfront  was straightforward and to the point.

The shot featured a relatively smog-free pristine blue sky with a few lazy fluffy clouds gently billowing here and there on the horizon.

The message was crystal clear!

Thanks to BART'S visionary efforts to enlighten motorists about alternatives to fossil fuels - the picturesque city by the bay is boasting that ridership is up on environmentally-safe public transport - and that fumes that once plagued the skyline are dissipating somewhat.

To celebrate, BART tossed an upbeat soiree that environmentally-conscious folks - and businesses - responded to in droves!

In essence, the "Blue Sky Festival" is centerpiece for the exchange of great environmental info, that runs in tandem with Earth Day which rolls around every spring.

Tourists, residents out giving their dogs a stretch, and city workers on lunch break, strolled through the plaza and munched on organically-grown strawberries, nutritious health drinks, and tasty energy-raising snacks as they mulled over environmentally safe products, and energy sources.

And, thanks to a popular local band - the Venusians - did so with a bounce in their step.

Their sound - consisting mainly of percussion, synthesizers, and strings - was somewhat reminiscent of the Penguin Cafe Orchestra (featured on YouTube) according to one observer with a keen ear.

Two Polar Bears danced around the stage to joyously celebrate a turn-around in their community.

Uh-huh!

Thanks to a new wave of environmental consciousness family members are being saved from extinction!

BART also offered up a nifty reward to curiosity-seekers who made a concerted effort to pop by and check out the booths.

Every attendee who presented a "passport" with six stamps on it (provided by the vendors present) was gifted with a free $6.00 BART pass!

But, a big buzz broke out in the crowd, when the opportunity to win a snazzy "fold up" bike presented itself.

Handy, when 'ya consider, that is the only two-wheeler that Officials on the Public Transportation system allow.

Other "green" friendly businesses participating included Bike Link / eLock, Breathe California & Greenbelt Alliance, City Car Share & ZipCar, Rock ' n Socks & Rickshaw Bagworks, Jamba Juice and Premier Organics.
