Juneteenth
June 19, 1865, he met General Gordon Granger in Galveston, Texas, with good news, the end of the long and brutal civil war and emancipation of black slaves. Juneteenth this life changing message has been delivered, but a huge two and a half years after the date of the emancipation before January 1, 1863. The news late but notable by General Granger seems to still pending their recognition within our history. Read more
